CARTER
Adventurer, merchant, and ronin Carter is a reluctant hero. Using a mix of cunning and action he will find his way through any situation. His ships are ambushed while in deep space leaving him adrift alone. He’s forced to confront his own demons and shortcomings as a mysterious power stored within awakens. Kicks and bites in a fight. His favorite weapon is the TAOTAZER.
GUS
Gus is the last sun bear, a race that was destroyed when he was only a cub. Gifted with incredibly long lifespans and extremely short attention spans, sun bears also exhibit telekinetic abilities, or so legends have told. Gus searches for his memory and places it in the stars with a technical gift and a sweet baritone voice. His special powers include levitation, general scariness to smaller creatures, and a healthy appetite.
MISO
Spy for the Royal Space Guild, the most elite information network in the known universe. Miso is an acolyte of the Rodere Master House, where she learned the skills of a space saboteur. She has ended up alone and lost in space as a prisoner on the same Squid ship that holds Carter. She fits in small spaces.
The NINE
The Nine are elder spirits resonating within gemstones. The true power of the Nine has been forgotten and they are treated as a mere tool. They have been moved around the universe for centuries, the vibrations from their stones leaving clear lanes in space for safe travel. In his quest for power he has turned to dark forgotten magic. His anger, entitlement, and ambition warp every decision as he murders and destroys everything in his path to attain his goal.
ONKI LOPOD
Captain of the Moluska Prime, a fiery-tempered and flamboyant Giant Squid. The squid are nomadic scavengers who slowly migrate across spacetime. Onki runs what seems like a tight ship, but is really a leaking, rotting mess of ships stuck together by primitive means.
